Tuesday, 8/7/2025 – As part of strengthening partnerships with local community institutions, a delegation from Palestine Polytechnic University visited the headquarters of Wafaa Development and Capacity Building in the city of Halhul, in appreciation of its role in supporting the upcoming “Engineering for Palestine” Conference, scheduled to be held on 29–30/09/2025.

The delegation included the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Waleed Al-Rimawi, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology and Conference Chair, Dr. Iyad Al-Hashlamoun, along with several members of the academic and administrative staff of the college.

The delegation was received by the General Manager of Wafaa, Mr. Mohaisen Atawneh, who welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of partnerships between higher education institutions and civil society organizations in supporting academic and developmental paths of national significance.

The university delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the institution’s management for its generous support of the conference, stressing the importance of strengthening mutual cooperation in a way that serves educational and developmental issues in Palestine.

The two parties also discussed prospects for future cooperation, especially in implementing projects and initiatives aimed at developing the higher education sector and serving the local community. They affirmed that such cooperation represents a successful model of integration between institutional and community-based work.

Attendees also commended the pioneering role of Wafaa in supporting education and development, emphasizing that its contribution to the conference represents a qualitative addition that will help ensure the success of scientific and national events.
