Today, at Wafaa Microfinance and Capacity Building, we had the honor of receiving His Excellency Dr. Mubarak Al-Hajri, Chargé d’Affaires of the Kuwaiti Embassy in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and non-resident ambassador to the State of Palestine, along with Mr. Meshaal Al-Mutairi, Head of Associations at the Embassy. His Excellency was briefed on the various departments, activities, and projects of the foundation and was introduced to its staff.
During the visit, His Excellency praised the efforts of Wafaa in providing humanitarian and relief services to those in need. He presented an honorary shield to the Director General, Mr. Mohaisen Al-Atawneh, in recognition of his and the foundation’s dedicated efforts in serving the Palestinian community.
This visit comes within the framework of the friendly relations and fruitful cooperation between the Embassy of the State of Kuwait and local charitable institutions in Palestine. It reflects His Excellency’s keenness to closely follow up on the projects being implemented in Palestine with Kuwaiti support, which aim to improve the conditions of those in need and to support and encourage local institutions working in this field.
During the visit, His Excellency and the accompanying delegation inaugurated the Ali Saleh Al-Laheeb (may he rest in peace) Hall for Social Welfare, Economic Empowerment, and Vocational Training. The hall was established in the city of Ramallah to the highest international technical standards and with high quality, generously funded by the International Islamic Charity Organization in the State of Kuwait.
